The lable »slush« would already do wrong to his voice, which even in lovesongs like Nothing but you sounds more like bonfire than like white leather-couch. Still, with the attitude of a lumberjack and a pipe, Bonny displays too much Hillbilly-ruffness to pose for a video with an oiled chest. Within his potpourri of modern Soul, there are still a few names which keep floating to the surface, like R’n†˜B’s charts-model D’Angelo. Instead of stooping to something ridiculous, Bonny freestyles effortlessly with trumpets and vocal chords between everything from Soul, Funk, Jazz, Latin and whatever else inspires him. Having grown up with a genuine Love for Jazz, the wind player does not, however, as a »White Dude«, try to line up with the tradition of a Miles David. Miles Bonny, son of a trumpeter, was hardly to withstand his predestined fate and took it into is (conceivable tiny) hands in the shape of an instrument by the age of two.
